Music: FKA Twigs: 'Weird things can be sexy'

Don't you hate it when artists with so much talent are painfully underrated? Fka Twigs is definitely one of those artists, who deserves more recognition than she gets. Weird, that she is now broadly known for dating a Hollywood star... Yep, that's the society we live in.
What I love about her is her sensuality, sexuality and her ability to show great vulnerability when it comes to love in her videos as well well as in her lyrics. Her songs are primarily gloomy, melancholic and creatively out of the norm with interesting rhythms - yep that "weird" kind of music, that makes others around you feel uncomfortable.

In an interview with Le Monde in 2014, she explained that she is "not restricted by any musical genre". She insisted that she likes to experiment with sounds, generating emotions while putting [her] voice on certain atmospheres [...]. "I found my own way of playing punk. I like industrial sounds and incorporating everyday life's sounds like a car alarm." And that is exactly what you get from her singles and albums like LP1, EP2 etc.
Her lyrics focus mainly on love: Getting your heart broken, being totally submissive to your partner or even being at your lover's mercy both emotionally and sexually. In a time like this in which it's all about woman's empowerment or being a strong woman, this topic is definitely controversial. Fka Twigs is unique and shows great pride in it and I think you should def check her out! Enjoy!

Music: NAV - Myself ( The Changing Face of Hip-Hop )

In a changing Hip-Hop scene with rappers like lil Uzi, lil Xan, XXXtentacion etc., NAV is a perfect addition to the new generation squad. Although a lot of old Hip-Hop heads haven't still wrapped their heads around the new wave of unique Hip-Hop sounds, deep "emo" lyrics and crazy outfits, the younger generation is firmly holding onto the new wave.

Music: SZA - Garden (Say It Like Dat)

With her calming, peacefull voice, SZA offers 14 dope songs on her album "Ctrl" revolving around the subject we all love the most - love & sex. Looking for songs when you need a good cry about a broken relationship or to celebrate being a thot/side chick? Check out the album. Enjoy!

My Style: Reasons Women Should Shop In The Men's Section
I bet we all can remember the craze that swept over us during summer revolving around the bomber jacket in the picture eh? After seeing almost every young person in my city sport it, I decided that I needed it in my life. So much for being anti-manstream right? LOL But all jokes aside; although it's a mainsteam piece, I love the casual and masculine vibe it adds to an outfit.
Like everything hot, these jackets were hard to find or came with a price, I wasn't about to pay. But thank God for the men's section! Yeah you heard me right - the men's section!

Music: ASAP Rocky - Long Live ASAP asap rocky - long live asap

Even though this album was released in 2013, I came across it just a while ago and completely fell in love. In my opinion, it's a masterpiece and very artistic. Another kind of hip hop with thought-provoking lyrics and unique deep gloomy sounds. You should check it out.

Unique vintage clothing pieces, striking colorful eye makeup, out of the norm jewelry, lipsticks and headpieces - Vannessa's style always stood out and often times caught my attention at university. I was constantly impressed by her courage for color, unique clothes as well as great outfit combinations. Against this backdrop, I asked her if she would be interested in giving us some insights into her style. This doll was not only kind enough to have a small photoshoot session with me, she also took time to give us some great advice down below.

People: Uniqueness in simplicity - Andrejs Šemeļevs

...Name: Andrejs Šemeļevs
...Profession: Fashion Design Student, Photographer & Blogger
...Location: Ogre, Latvia

There is saying that "less is more" and I couldn't agree more - well unless we're talking about sweets and clothes, then I unfortunately one hundred percent don't get the concept. Anyways,  let's get back to the topic...
When it comes to fashion, being able to have a minimalistic style and still stand out can be a tough nut to crack, especially when you prefer less bright colours. However, Andrejs proves that this can be done, if you know what your style is about, stick to it and focus on improving it with certain elements which we'll talk about later on.

People: GUTIISM: Beauty meets highly creative and talented - Daniela Guti

...Name: Daniele Guti
...Profession: Artist, Fashion-illustrator and Blogger
...Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Intrigued! That was my reaction when I found Daniela Guti. Not only is this woman beautiful, she also showcases great confidence and talent when it comes to putting clothes together. No wonder she is an artist and fashion illustrator - the woman knows her craft!
Every single picture of hers is very artistic but still seems effortless. Her looks always tell their own stories but with a little twist of an edge to it. Another remarkable thing about her is her ability to add just the right amount of colour to an outfit without it being overpowering.

People: Confidence in blurring the lines between masculinity and femininity - Karolina Romanova

...Name: Karolina Romanova
...Profession: Comic Artist, Graphic Designer and Blogger
...Location: Lodz, Poland

Karolina describes herself as "an illustrator/storyboardist from Poland with a profound love for K-Pop, androgyny, dark humour and bad jokes." When I was going through her looks on Lookbook, I was inspired by her mindset to wear two different kinds of looks that couldn't be more contrasting with each other.

"I believe that gender is fluid and translate it onto my outfits"
